Mentor Sweden

Mentor Sweden is a Swedish NGO established in 1994 working with a sole focus on health promotion and prevention of drug abuse among children and young people in Sweden.

In partnership with Swedish corporations and adult volunteers from the public, Mentor Sweden manages three key programs: Mentoring, Parenting and Inspirational activities. The activities aim to prevent abuse by building relationships between young people and adults and increasing motivation at school.
  • We give young people a mentor, an extra adult.
  • We give parents support in their parenting role through courses and seminars
  • We work with schools where we give students inspiration and motivation to be in school
  • We do it with financial support and staffing commitment from Swedish companies and adults from the general public
Mentor is funded by contributions from businesses. We also work in partnership with the companies that support us financially. Together we spread knowledge and form public opinion to work preventively against violence and drugs among young people.
