The Mentor Foundation is hosting a free seminar on drug prevention at the House of Sweden, Washington, DC.
The challenges and recent trends of drug abuse among children and adolescents will be discussed by leading experts and high-level government officials. The event has two sessions.
Morning session, 9.00am-1.00pm
International Drug Abuse Prevention:
Opportunities and Challenges
The focus will be on cutting-edge research and public policy to promote youth drug prevention. Presenters include officials from the National Institute on Drug Abuse, White House Office of National Drug Control Policy and the Mentor Foundation.

Evening Session, 5.30pm-8.00pm
Preventing Children from Drug Abuse:
Strategies for Parents, Schools and Communities
Learn how to involve schools, communities, families and parents in effective drug abuse prevention. Presenters include officials from the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy, Center for Substance Abuse Prevention, Community Anti-Drug Coalitions of America and the Mentor Foundation.
